The Benefits Team within McDonald's HR Operations – Global People provide Leave of Absence and Benefits services to McDonald's corporate employees as well as former employees. The Benefits Team is focused on delivering 100% customer satisfaction in a timely, high quality and accurate manner while ensuring adherence to internal controls, Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance and government regulations.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Benefits Coordinator who will process various benefit activities including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance for new hires, as well as life event changes, tuition reimbursement, death claims, domestic partner transactions, etc. This position will be responsible for coordinating individual activities and partnering with the Healthcare Administration Supervisor and other Coordinators to support the processing of benefit transactions.

What you will be doing:

You will process benefit transactions in McDonald’s fast-paced work environment.
Consistently exceed customer expectations through process standardization and continuous improvement.
You will create, update, and close benefit (including leaves of absence) actions and edits via coordinating payroll, benefit and activity tracking management systems.
Responsible for Leave of Absence transactions for employees in various leave statuses (FMLA, STD, LTD, Personal Leave, etc.) while partnering, as needed, with managers, employees and claims vendor to accurately manage these transactions.
Provide call center support for escalated benefit and leave inquiries as well as overflow support as needed.
Manage and reconcile leave of absence payroll accounts.
You will participate in team projects as needed.
Perform overtime as needed.

 

Qualifications

 

Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire to be considered. Proof of vaccination required.

Minimum Requirements:

3 + years of general business work experience
Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment and maintain a customer service focus
Possess an ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task to achieve performance goals
You have excellent verbal & written communication skills and are customer obsessed
Able to work individually and cohesively as a member of a team
Advanced-level skills with Microsoft Excel and Word

Preferred:

Spanish bilingual – reads, speaks, and writes
College degree
Benefit, HR and/or payroll processing experience
In-house benefit processing experience
Experience in a large corporate environment
