We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal Software Engineer based out of  McClellan, CA in the Sacramento area. As a Software Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What You’ll get to Do:

Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
Determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepare operating instructions. Ensure software standards are met.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant work experience, or Master's degree with 3 years of relevant work experience; note, an additional 4 years relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Experience with C, C++ or Java
Understanding of systematic testing methods 
Understanding of all phases of software development, and practical experience in an Agile / Dev*Ops environment 
US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI (access) security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
Experience with leading small teams, projects, or working as a Scrum Master
SIGINT Domain knowledge
Experience with Web development UI
Experience with Geospatial applications such as ArcGIS
Experience with Hardware integration
Experience with Python, JavaScript or other scripting languages
Experience with CI/CD pipeline
Current active TS/SCI (access) security clearance
