Job Description

Key Job Elements

1.Administers professional nursing care to sick and/or injured employees

2.Performs and evaluates various clinical and diagnostic tests

3.Assists plant physician in minor surgical procedures

4.Interviews and documents medical history of employees

5.Works effectively with the Health Services team and other departments

6.Maintains appropriate medical records to ensure quality and accuracy

7.Performs and documents physical exams

8.Adheres to common practices and procedures throughout the department

9.Maintains equipment and supplies 10.Assists with the promotion of plant wellness programs

11.Works with health services customers in a knowledgeable and professional manner

Requirements

- High level of initiative and sound independent discernment

- Demonstrates analytical ability

- Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills

- Proficient with electronic medical records and basic computer programs/software Education and Training

- RN Diploma/Associate degree required, BSN or BS preferred

- Valid state nursing license required

- Four or more years Nursing experience. ER or Occupational Health experience preferred

- Certification as Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) or Occupational Health Nursing Specialist (COHN-S) preferred -

Certified in Healthcare Provider CPR/AED
