Overview

In this position, you will work in an environment where challenging technical issues will test your knowledge, skills and abilities on a regular basis. You will work with a highly skilled team of Cybersecurity Engineers responsible for engineering the security solutions that directly support the Security Operations Center.

Role summary and job responsibilities

Perform administration/engineering on critical systems and devices, to include installation, configuration, maintenance for a wide range of cyber security solutions

Provides guidance for internal cyber security team in terms of leading methodologies and ensures they are known and adhered to within the team

Capable of leading a small team for specific project(s) or task(s)

Business knowledge

Decomposes the most complex problems into discrete work units

Identifies non-obvious relationships and anomalies often overlooked by others

Balances strategic and pragmatic concerns when solving problems

Makes and communicates sound decisions to teams and business units given available resources

Qualifications:

3+ years of relevant experience

Possesses solid experience with systems administration (e.g. Linux, Windows), virtualization technologies (e.g. VMWare), enterprise-grade computing, storage, network equipment.

Knowledgeable of core infrastructure capabilities: operating systems, networking, identity, and access

Experience scripting and automating tasks using Python, Bash, JavaScript

Stays ahead of best-of-breed technologies and up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends

Additional Qualifications (Preferred):

5+ years of relevant experience

Experience deploying and managing AWS infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code technologies (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)

Experience with Nessus Vulnerability Scanning tools (e.g. Tenable.io)

Experience administering and supporting Splunk Enterprise environments

Experience developing, implementing and testing SOAR capabilities and playbooks
