Job Description

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsible for operation of Spray dry, Extraction/distillation, Dry blends, mill, reaction and packaging
Thoroughly inspect all equipment for proper functioning status cleanliness before use (Pre-op-Check)
Follow all safety, quality and material handling procedures at all times.
Follow all cleaning and sanitization process according with standard procedures
Thoroughly inspect all equipment for HACCP before and after process (HACCP Checklist)
Visually inspects finished product, set aside any product thought to be non-compliant with quality standards or batch ticket specifications. Notify supervisors immediately of any issues
Responsible to check and record if product is meeting specification during process, according with instructions.
Carefully take finish product samples according with instructions.
Report Any deviations from quality, food safety, security and safety to a manger.
Take part in all relevant training sessions related to job responsibilities
Understand and perform all quality and food safety responsibilities in compliance with Ashland and FSSC22000

The following skill sets are required by the business unit:

Operator must have a minimum of a high school diploma or Equivalent
Must have at least 2 years of Spray Dry Operating experience
Ability to up to 50lbs
Excellent oral and writing skills

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

Forklift certification Preferred
Boiler certification Preferred
Bilingual in Spanish Preferred
