Job Description

We are actively seeking a Chief Nurse Executive/Director of Patient Care Services. This senior management position requires a wide range of leadership and professional abilities. We are looking for a seasoned nurse executive who is confident, decisive yet flexible, able to mentor developing leaders and has a supportive approach to staff in the face of significant change. Advanced problem solving and analytical skills with proven experience in transformational change is preferred. The position has responsibility for all clinical patient care units and has about one dozen direct reports. Candidate shall possess strong understanding of patient care delivery models, healthcare policy, healthcare financing, outcome measurement and risk management. CNO candidate will demonstrate the ability to use systems thinking, change management and have a demonstrated record of accomplishment in leading patient safety and quality initiatives as well as a continuous state of regulatory readiness.

Broad nursing and hospital experience is necessary. In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience in Care Management, Outpatient Practice Management, and Performance Improvement. You will play a key role in assessing, planning and developing systems to support our strategic plan. Considerable independent judgment is required to carry out assignments that have significant impact on emerging or established service lines. The CNO candidate will possess strong communication skills and excel in relationship building and managing. Experience collaborating with a seasoned medical staff and working collaboratively with the Chief of Staff is essential.

Job Requirements

Must have current RN license for state of MA, BSN and Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field. Advanced certification highly desirable. Must have 4 years of nursing management experience and 5 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting. Experience growing an ambulatory service line is a plus.
