Job Summary
The role involves leading and managing the overall performance of Loss Mitigation. The candidate will have great exposure to Loss Mitigation and Loan Servicing leadership and be accountable for delivering targeted performance results. Responsible for execution of continuous process, system & strategy improvements. Partner with Decision Analytics, and Business Intelligence teams to develop departmental productivity and performance metrics that drive desired behaviors and provide transparency to associate, team and department performance. The ideal candidate will have operations, process, and analysis experience, the ability to positively engage people, great integrative problem solving, and the ability to influence senior leaders and a diverse set of stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
Accountable for all areas of Loss Mitigation budget, Secured and Unsecured Recovery, Bankruptcy, Claims, Deceased, Impounds, Replevin, Remarketing, and Auction, with a $15M+ annual expense budget
Ensure key operational performance targets are met in areas such as recovery dollars collected, H-D dealer auction participation, phone service levels, and QA. Success is achieved by possessing a thorough understanding of performance and forecasting models across the enterprise while identifying opportunities to maximize revenues and minimize losses, evaluating economic trends and incorporating those trends into actions as appropriate
Model and ensure Operations leaders are exemplifying the H-D #1 principles by maintaining a highly engaged staff through continuously creating an inclusive environment with the proper level of direction where individuals are motivated, inspired, and empowered to do their best work, and clearly understand how their work contributes to the success of the business
Assist in the implementation of authority progression & mentoring structures designed to reinforce process and strategy adherence while recognizing, developing, and leveraging top performers and building upon bench strength
Coordinate with Directors of other retail functional areas to ensure cohesiveness of retail unit, champion and execute upon business strategies that will drive continued high performance in the face of ever-changing business, consumer, and regulatory demands
Serve as a change management champion by leading the department through structural, system, and continuous improvement processes and initiatives
Partner with Risk, GIS, and Business Solutions Team to develop, implement, and manage continuous improvement of operational systems, workflows, and personnel to drive optimal operational effectiveness; and Business Intelligence and Decision Analytics teams to design and deliver reporting and dashboards that provide transparency to associate, team and department performance in a simple and easy to use format
Work closely with third party vendors to ensure alignment and achievement of targeted performance metrics; interface with dealer principals and key dealer personnel with respect to escalations; and participate in industry conferences and roundtables to stay abreast of industry trends

8+ years of Financial Services leadership experience in Collections/Loss Mitigation
5+ years of vendor management experience
Track record of leading personnel in multiple sites, as well as remote workforce
Demonstrated ability to initiate, execute, and achieve both short- and long-term desired results in a fast paced and ever-changing environment
History of building and leveraging the capabilities of a high-performing team, as well as business partners across an enterprise.
Possess ability to foster innovation, drive critical decisions, hold business partners accountable, and be able to consistently deliver results
Proven ability to perform complex project, process and distill analytics to readily understandable business recommendations
Strong business judgment, leadership and integrity
Strong verbal and written communication skills; the ability to achieve positive outcomes through influence
History of talent development and progression
Proven teamwork skills and the ability to interact effectively with other departments at all levels
Ability to define roles and responsibilities and delegate effectively
Proven problem-solving and decision-making ability
Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
Strong knowledge of regulatory, legal, and other statutory requirements associated with Collections/Loss Mitigation
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred
Process or Project Management Certifications- Lean, Agile, Six Sigma
Experience with digital communication and payment channels
Experience with BPM tools and utilization
