The Senior Analyst of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Controls Modernization is responsible for enhancing and modernizing the ESG control framework to improve the timeliness and reliability of information used in ESG reporting. Reporting to the Manager of ESG Modernization, this role supports formalizing a control framework and initiatives enhancing the reliability of information used in ESG reporting. This includes the development of an annual risk assessment and plan to collect, review, report and retain ESG information.
Responsibilities
Conduct a continual risk assessment of ESG disclosures based on stakeholder feedback and ongoing changes in the business.
Support process owners and providers of ESG information in documenting and enhancing internal controls over both financial and nonfinancial information.
Support the formalization of the completeness and accuracy of the information contained within the Sustainability Report.
Support process owners in establishing policies and procedures to collect, consolidate and validate both financial and nonfinancial disclosed information.
Establish and adopt ongoing inclusion assessment criteria for disclosure.
Refine a process for distribution, concurrence and attestation from senior leaders on content.
Establish and refine a cadence for document preparation, quality assurance, review and publishing to position ourselves to meet potential future regulatory reporting deadlines, and to ensure the report includes timely and relevant information.
Evaluate potential solutions to track workflow and retain documents supporting disclosures, in accordance with our record retention policy.
Identify matters where controls can be improved over the reliability of financial information, track and report on identified findings through remediation.
Prepare and/or deliver periodic update reports for leadership, including the Chief Accounting Officer and the Audit Committee, when applicable.
Builds strong relationships to work with the business and service lines.

Graduate degree
Approx. 4-8 years (or greater) of professional, applicable or accounting experience
Demonstrated ability to work on unstructured assignments and identify process improvements
Problem solving, critical thinking and analytical abilities
Ability to identify, interpret and analyze potential risks and issues
Willing to continuously learn and take on additional responsibilities, attend training, and learn new technical skills related to ESG matters
Professional Certification (preferred)
