Job Purpose
We are looking for a Network Engineer that can thrive in a challenging and rewarding environment. This person will help implement, troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain networks as set forth below.
Responsibilities:
Installs, maintains and evaluates network systems and communications.
Reviews monitoring tool reports regarding network deficiencies and faults and takes the necessary corrective actions.
Sustains the necessary data throughput rate by monitoring networking activity and maintaining existing equipment.
Responds to network connectivity issues and resolves any LAN, WAN and Wireless communication problems in a timely manner.
Collaborates with third-party support and service vendors to ensure that the network stays operational
Develops and maintains network documentation that describes physical and logical integration as well as implementation and management standards.
Manages support cases to enable fast resolution that exceeds our customers’ expectations.
Ensure accurate recording of all cases using the Company’s ticket management tool and closing within agreed time frames
Uses the central document repository, to ensure knowledge sharing across the team and enable best practice
Supporting wider team with knowledge share, via knowledge base communications (emails, how-to guides etc.) and contribution at team meetings
Acts as an escalation resource for On-call staff and junior members of the team.
Assists in preparation of BOM and SOW for projects
Required Qualifications:
Must be a US Citizen
Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering or Computer Engineering.
8 + years in IT Network experience in a corporate environment is preferred.
Current CCNA/CCNP track preferred.
Ability to lift, carry, and move all components of PC workstations, servers, network equipment, peripherals, and other ancillary equipment
Ability to travel domestic and International
Must have extensive knowledge of Internet Protocols, switches, routers, wireless, firewalls and SD-WAN.
Practical level of experience implementing and administering common TCP/IP-based services, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.
Experience implementing and troubleshooting switches and routers from Cisco, HP and Dell platforms
Experience implementing and troubleshooting of security technologies and concepts with hands-on experience with Check Point Firewall and VPN implementations
Experience implementing and troubleshooting of Wireless from Cisco and Aruba technologies
Experience implementing and troubleshooting with SNMP based management tools, such as Netflow and SolarWinds
Experience implementing and troubleshooting large LAN and WAN environments
Experience implementing and troubleshooting large data centers, virtualization technologies and AWS/GCP cloud computing infrastructure will be a plus
Experience implementing and troubleshooting of WAN Acceleration, IP Routing OSPF, BGP, Policy Based Routing, Access Control Lists, Traffic Classification and QoS Implementation
Strong knowledge of Access Control systems such as Radius, TACACS and NAC (ForeScout)
Experience implementing and maintaining SD-WAN technology, such as Versa will be a plus
