What you will be doing

The Traffic Engineering Department is responsible for establishing and scaling connectivity, defining guidelines for network growth, and number procurement activities per industry policies for DISH’s next-gen 5G wireless network. The Numbering Specialist will be responsible for various activities such as creation of CLLI codes, number order submission, regulatory reporting, tracking number utilization to ensure adequate inventory, managing and updating process documentation, and remaining up to date on numbering industry initiatives.

Day-to-day job responsibilities: 

Coordinate with internal departments to determine volume and timing of number ordering activities
Coordinate with internal departments regarding activities that will impact numbering capacity
Submit requests for new numbering resources 
Coordinate input of numbering data into industry databases and associated reporting
Manage and maintain the inventory of active telephone numbers in the number inventory system
Maintain compliance with FCC Numbering Regulations
Manage escalations and expedite with vendors to ensure timely service delivery
Address issues and questions from implementation and operations groups
Prepare and present analytical reports
Assist with vendor relations and communications
Track metrics and work with different vendors to ensure SLA compliance

Skills and experience

The successful Numbering Specialist will have:

4+ years in the Telecom industry
Basic understanding of data and voice network architecture
Advanced understanding of telecom number ordering processes
Experience with iconectiv systems such as CLONES, BIRRDS, and LERG
Experience with NANPA, NAS and PAS systems and procedures 
Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Ability to identify and understand complex problems/issues and develop solutions
Ability to manage multiple commitments simultaneously
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent attention to details
Outstanding organizational and analytical skills
Excellent customer service skills
Able to work independently and inside a team
Bachelor's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
