Job Summary
ExxonMobil Chemical Company has a laboratory technician position available within the NMR Lab of the Advanced Characterization Department (ACD) in Baytown TX. The successful candidate will join the department and support polymer research and development. Job responsibilities will include providing material characterization results to a variety of customers while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Primary Job Functions
Characterize samples using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy techniques
Work in a team environment while independently preparing samples and executing data acquisition protocols
Interpret/Analyze data and prepare reports
Maintain high quality and safety standards
Collaborate and problem solve with researchers
Maintain lab and equipment
Order chemicals and supplies
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field
Experience with Bruker NMR hardware and software preferred
Familiar with Microsoft Office productivity programs (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint)
Good analytical and writing skills
Good communication and organization skills
Ability to work in teams
Capable of adapting to changing priorities
