As a Senior GIS Developer, you will act as a consultant to the business client for technology solutions, managing client expectations and serving as one of primary client interfaces.
Specifically, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Collaborate with developers, specialists, product owners and stakeholders in conceptualizing, developing, and maintaining software products in support of CNP Electric and Gas operations.
Work with other developers, system administrators, and vendor support to resolve production issues.
Assist with determining appropriate technologies for future endeavors.
Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements to fulfill business requirements and in accord to CNP development and architectural standards.
Write clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code, and produce clear and concise documentation.
Mentor junior developers through code review and pair programming.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications or related industry.
Five (5) years of experience in custom web, desktop and mobile GIS application development; database development in Oracle with PL/SQL.
Preferred:
Knowledge and experience in utility network.
Coaching or mentoring junior developers
