Requirements:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs advanced clerical and administrative duties under little supervision. These administrative duties encompass 20% of the daily functions.(EF)
Responsible for coordination of Grand Rounds for Department. Contact speakers and presenters (identified by physician) to solicit participation in monthly continuing education sessions throughout the year. Coordinate travel arrangements, processes reimbursements and honorariums. Identify funding sources and obtain funding for sessions. Full responsibility for Grand Rounds coordination (Establishing dates, finding conference rooms, handouts, catering, communications to speakers and participants, posters, developing itinerary with Physician and speakers). May have budget responsibility for reconciling the budget and developing reports related to the Grand Rounds.
Assist with the coordination of activities for International patients at TMH under little supervision. These activities will include assistance with hotels, ground transportation, and medical appointments within and outside immediate physician practice. This duty combined with the second duty encompasses 30% of daily functions. (EF)
Prepares and researches grant applications, manuscripts, and proposals while using appropriate software. Gather research data from individuals participating in the grant proposals and conduct literature searches relating to the grant submission. Manage timelines for submitting the grant proposals and ensure proposals are submitted on time. Knowledgeable about the format for grant submission required by each funding source (i.e. NIH, private foundations). Must have in-depth knowledge on proper Manuscript formatting (footnotes, referencing, page numbering, margins, line spacing, headings and proper insertion of technical charts and graphs).
Must be able to design Power Point presentations with advanced data manipulation. Must be able to develop charts to represent advanced technical data. Must also be able to prepare presentation materials and posters per TMHS standards(EF)
Maintains a file or database system for routine reports and relevant data sources. (EF)
Plans and books speakers for professional meetings, assisting with travel arrangements. (EF)

Follows all safety rules while on the job. Reports accidents promptly and corrects minor safety hazards. Completes all hospital required and job-related in-services and applies the information s needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED is required. Associates degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 3 years experience in an Academic setting.
