Your role

Are you passionate about supporting and growing a business that helps clients achieve their long-term financial goals? This position within the Financial Planning platform team will drive financial planning through data analysis and platform management, utilizing your existing data management skills and providing an opportunity to grow your experience in platform management.

We're looking for a candidate to take on the following responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a strategy for tracking activity and impact of financial planning usage and driving further adoption
• Provide metrics connecting Wealth planning consultant activity to indicators such as revenue and net new money
• Steward of all wealth planning data in data warehouse
• Work on projects to improve and further automate reporting processes and capabilities
• Oversee offshore team that provides additional reporting and look for ways to continue to increase their capacity
• Manage executive reporting and ad hoc reporting requests
• Support business aspects of the financial planning platform and processes which may include financial planning vendor, model and risk management
• Gain an understanding of vendor-based financial planning tools including calculations and methodology and assist as needed with deployment of enhancements to financial planning tools
• Assist in second tier support of financial planning tool questions with Financial Advisors
• Liaise with external financial planning software vendors and internal technology group

Your team

You’ll be joining the Financial Planning Platforms team in Weehawken, NJ. This team is focused on integrating the Wealth Planning needs of clients and financial advisors into a strategically focused delivery of best-in-class Financial Planning solutions.

Your expertise

• Advanced skills in Excel/Access required, including experience receiving large/text files and importing into Excel and Access databases; knowledge in writing advanced queries. Experience in SQL a plus
• Experience in Alteryx, Tableau or Visual basic a plus
• College education, a minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required
• Strong analytic and problem-solving, communication (oral and written), time management and organizational skills and be able to multi-task
• The ideal candidate is curious and innovative and excited to use data to drive strategy
• Highly motivated, self-starter capable or working individually or part of a larger team. Ability to work collaboratively with others from a remote work environment as needed
• Platform management experience a plus, experience in Financial planning is not required. Training will be provided on the specific financial planning data, tools and processes
• Driven and excited by challenge and change – ready to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
• A self-starter with, urgency, and personal accountability
• Intellectually curious and willing to challenge the status quo
• Comfortable working independently, as well as in a collaborative environment
