NOW OFFERING, $3,000 SIGN-ON BONUS. We have openings in Live Production as an Egg Picker. We offer competitive wages starting at $15.50/hr!
To perform all daily Breeder farm activities/chores associated with caring for live turkey breeders, hatching eggs, farm equipment as outlined and described in department operating manuals. Also, to help fellow employees with safety, productivity, and cost control by providing personal involvement in Breeder farm management & operating decisions/problem solving.
JOB DUTIES:
Perform daily chores on a Breeder farm as assigned by the Breeder Farm Supervisor or Breeder Flock Specialist.
Wash & adjust waterers, start feedlines, adjust feeder pipes and feeders.
Participate and be responsible as a member of a work group in 8-12 egg gatherings/day which includes egg sanitizing, grading, and traying of all hatching Quality eggs.
Responsible for accurate accounting and record keeping for eggs packed, eggs culled, cooler room temperatures, cooler room humidity’s, internal cooler egg temperatures, and broody control recording.
Maintain nest litter and/or pads in clean and proper conditions according to communicated specifications.
Continually meet all Breeder farm sanitation/isolation policies and procedures through attended training, supervisor communications and practicing self-management skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to twist, stoop, bend, squat, lift, carry, and reach while handling live breeder hens and tom turkeys in a weight range under 10 pounds to over 50 pounds, from an occasional to frequent basis.
Able to do basic math, 6th grade level, addition, and subtraction.
