Product Management & Demand Planning Manager

Huntsman’s Advanced Materials Division is now searching for a new Product Management & Demand Planning Manager who will strengthen our Supply Chain team by managing a team of Product Managers and Demand Managers for our Americas organization. This role is an active, full member of the Supply Chain leadership team, located at our Corporate Headquarters in The Woodlands, TX.

As the Product Management & Demand Planning Manager, you will:  

Demand Planning:

Accountable for a regional forecast that drives service, manufacturing, and inventory results
Implement forecast accuracy KPI’s; lead process to implement measures
Lead monthly Demand review inside IBP process
Coordinate and integrate the demand reviews with the commercial leadership and the site production planning teams (IBP strategy & process)
Translate business opportunities to supply chain delivery and mitigation plans
Align business results across multiple stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, production, supply chain, and product management)
Integrate NPI plan, changing market trend, near-to-mid-term sales plans, statistical forecast correction for abnormal demand signals, business plan and pricing plans, so that they are properly captured and communicated through regular Demand reviews
Identifies, develops, and implements process improvement plans to optimize Demand

Product Management

Translate strategic business priorities into product specific priorities and principles for portfolio management
Coach and train the team to continuously improve the planning methodology across our product portfolio
Develop, implement, and document new planning strategies to support business growth in key markets
Respond to operational challenges daily to meet our customers’ demand according to our global service strategy

Skills and experiences required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a production planning or supply planning related function with commercial exposure
APICS or SCOR knowledge is required
Excellent knowledge of planning concepts (S&OP, RCCP, MRP, MTO, MTS)
Strong understanding of commercial priorities
Process and detailed oriented with the capacity to see the big picture
Ability to work independently in a multicultural environment
Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
Very good IT and MS office knowledge (SAP, Excel, Access, BI)
Effective oral and written English skills
