The Opportunity

Under the leadership of the Director of EHS and through partnership with Corporate EHS, this position creates and drives EHS program, policy, guideline and training expectations to supported Fulfillment Center site Leaders and the site Safety manager for implementation and compliance expectations across all assigned locations. This role is directly responsible for Regional Fulfillment Center Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS).

Your Impact

Interprets all regulatory (OSHA, EPA, DOT, and/or state and local equivalent, etc.) standard requirements and company EHS best practice requirements in partnership with Corporate EHS.
Partners with the site Safety manager for all site regulatory agency inquiries (OSHA, EPA, DOT or state equivalent). Works with site Safety manager and company Legal to develop responses to investigations, agency requests and proposed citations.
Primary Fulfillment Center responsibility for reporting serious injuries (fatalities, amputations, hospitalizations, etc.) to Federal or State OSHA in accordance with regulatory expectations.  Partners with company Legal for appropriate response.
Leads efficient and effective regional EHS programs to ensure the design, construction and operation of safe facilities to lower risk and reduce hazard potential across all assigned locations.
Interfaces with Fulfillment Center leadership and peers to provide expert advice and counsel in support of the strategic direction of the company’s EHS program. 
Holds site Safety Managers and Sr. Site Leadership accountable to eliminating/reducing risk and hazard potential, properly managing each individual work related incident, and driving forward a ZERO safety culture at all team member levels. This individual must instruct and train operations leaders on their safety leadership expectations/requirements and assist the Fulfillment Center teams in incorporating QVC EHS standards at their site.
Communicates and implements the company’s EHS metrics, KPI’s and means of measurement.  Analyzes regional EHS metric data for trending and identifying areas of opportunities.  Measures region and sites’ performance against published requirements. Works with site Safety Managers to ensure appropriate action items are developed and communicated to address areas of opportunity. Reports results to the business on a regular basis. 
Reviews accident trends to identify possible mitigation opportunities and justify the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the safety risk is highest. 
Oversee a team of safety professionals to ensure a culture of safety, compliance with laws & regulations, and consistency across the US market in 4-6 fulfillment centers. Provides guidance to develop necessary competencies.  Evaluates performance, sets goals and ensures team member meets position expectations. The Regional EHS Manager will be responsible for leading and executing company EHS policies, ensuring EHS compliance, and developing EHS programs and team member Safety engagement across assigned locations.
This position will demonstrate the ability influence change across our Fulfillment Network. Presentation skills required.
Innovate/Develop programs by leveraging lean principles across the network as the business changes around Fulfillment.
Influences, mentors and collaborates with Fulfillment Center General Managers to ensure site leadership accountability for workplace safety including but not limited to incident reporting, leading indicators, and adhering to general safety expectations communicated through training, auditing or other equivalent methods.
Oversees our Fulfillment team through proper accident investigations, case management and record keeping, root cause analysis, and action planning/mitigation for all job related accidents. Provides advice to both the site Safety manager and site Leadership team.
Partners with HR, Legal, Insurance Providers, and other relevant teams regarding workers compensation program management and reasonable job accommodations across the Fulfillment Center Network.
Audits EHS practices and recordkeeping to ensure OSHA, company policy, and local regulations through the use of comprehensive EHS System Assessment tools.
Spends time in Fulfillment Centers to development relationships with Fulfillment Center leaders and site team members.
Responsible for oversight of hazardous material, DOT programs and regional regulated waste programs.
Partners with regional EHS peers and corporate EHS to share best practices and learning opportunities to ensure consistent application of network or company environmental, health, safety programs, policies, guidelines and training.
Partners with Director of EHS and Regional Fulfillment Center Leaders to develop appropriate budgeting expectations for Fulfillment Center EHS related expenditures, Partners with Director of EHS and Corporate EHS for appropriate budgeting related to EHS program needs. Works with Procurement on a regular basis.

What You Bring

7+ years of responsibility in safety programs in a production environment
Experience in lean principles, process improvement, and change management
Experience in leading and influencing large populations
BS/BA in safety, environmental-related fields or relevant experience
Certified Safety Professional or graduate level degree preferred
History of interacting with all levels of an organization
Ability to develop and implement programs based on strategies and goals
Travel up to 25% or greater
Experience in a fast paced and ever changing environment
