Nurse Manager-(CCU-PCU)-(BS in Nursing & 5Yrs Nursing Exp)-(Full-Time)
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures/ Certifications/ Registrations Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- 5 years Nursing experience ICU-CCU preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse Licensed issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing required
The Nursing Department Director directs the operations, programs, and activities in a specified clinical area of the hospital such as Critical Care, Maternal and Child Care, Medical/Surgical, or Ambulatory Care. Provides leadership for department and twenty-four accountability for budgetary and performance criteria. Provides assurance of culturally sensitive, high quality patient care in accordance with evidence, based practice current research and standards of nursing practice. Collaborates with appropriate governing body, management, medical staff, and other leaders in the development of hospital-wide patient care programs, policies, procedures and performance improvement initiatives. Forms partnerships within nursing and across other disciplines to encourage excellence in service and care. The Nursing Director is an exemplar for compassion, acceptance, respect and empathy – honoring nursing as a distinct discipline and supporting an environment focused on healing and wellness.
