Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is part of Milliken’s Chemical Division reporting to the Division Controller. It is located in Spartanburg, SC at Milliken’s Corporate Headquarters. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner with various support functions: supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, product management, finance, and HR for data analysis
Track, analyze and report on progress and advise to management in the areas of operations and resource management with particular focus on SGA
Provide support to business Finance Directors as needed through financial analysis, budgeting, and close activities; help facilitate decision making and future business strategies
Lead capital expenditure approval, spending and closing process for non-manufacturing locations
Lead and implement various finance/accounting process improvement projects
Create purchase orders and/or receive items against purchase orders in SAP
Verify coding and prepare check requests for different types of payments
Assist in inventory audits at US manufacturing plants
Prepare and review the division period financial package
Maintain financial controls records for audit requirements
Manage the record-keeping and accounting for rebates and division’s lease car fleet
Conduct ad hoc financial analysis for the finance team and other business team members    

QUALIFICATIONS

BS Degree – Accounting or Finance
CPA, CMA or MBA is preferred
2+ years of industry experience is preferred
Advanced excel skills and other Microsoft Office tools
Attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and strong problem-solving skills
SAP experience preferred
Experience using data query tools such as SAP Business Objects or Microsoft Business Intelligence
