Following Johnston's procedure of using staffing agencies for hourly positions, if Human Resources determines that the candidate meets the requirements/qualifications, they will direct the candidate to a staffing agency used by Johnston.

What We Are Looking For:

High School Diploma or GED preferred not required
Manufacturing experience is preferred 
Must function effectively both independently and in a team environment
Positive attitude & good work ethic
Proactive, self-motivated, and strong ability to multitask
Ability to have reliable and predictable attendance
Basic mathematical, reading, and communication skills
Good hand eye coordination
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including rotating shifts of 8-12 hours in duration
Must be able to stand for long periods
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. when performing specific job tasks
Ability to work weekends and overtime as required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 

What We Offer:

Pay progression:

Support operator pay progression to $14.00 per hour 
Senior operator pay progression to $16.98 per hour

Technician pay progression over $20.00 per hour

What You’ll Do As A Machine Operator:

Inspect products to ensure that specifications are met and to determine if machines need adjustment
Set up and operate textile machines that perform weaving operations
Cleaning and Doffing weave machines
Observe woven cloth to detect weaving defects
Repairing minor material stops on weave machines
Examine looms to determine causes of loom stoppage, such as warp filling, harness breaks, or mechanical defects
Remove defects in cloth by cutting and pulling out filling
