Senior Manager, Digital Content Design

Job Description

Strategic and conceptual thinker with a background in branding and design. You will work with the Executive Creative Director to support the best way to visually represent Avon’s multiple brands across all social platforms. Responsible for re-envisioning Avon’s aesthetic and design standards and working toward moving the brand into it’s next chapter. You will need to demonstrate excellent taste level and experience in photo/art direction, graphic design, interaction design, motion, video, and typography. Essential to this role is staying current with beauty, retail and media trends and experiences, developing competent base knowledge of categories and guest behaviors, and being a passionate advocate for great design. You will partner with Marketing, Production and Creative teams to ensure that all goals are met and creative aesthetics are upheld. 

You will report to the Executive Creative Director.

Responsibilities

Creatively conceptualize and execute modern social and digital content including beauty, fashion, accessory and gifting categories.
The leadership to guide the Avon brand along with the humility to roll up sleeves to collaborate with the team in a demanding and exciting start-up environment.
Manage a small team of designers and manage multiple projects in different states of completion to ensure all time lines are met.
Conceptualize and art direct a large amount of still-life, model and video photo shoots.
Independently lead outside agencies, stylists, photographers etc.
An understanding of relevant beauty, fashion and design trends and how they relate to the business.
Partner and collaborate with diverse partners to achieve strong creative execution following project briefs.
Collaborative influencer with a clear POV and ability to establish rapport with peers.
Solid understanding of the digital media landscape, including its unique creative challenges.
Create tight comps that best represent creative direction modern, relevant graphic design and typography that is brand supportive and clear in message.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
12+ years of relevant professional experience
Expert knowledge of standard design software (Adobe tools, Mac platform, etc.)
Creative portfolio demonstrating scope of creative capabilities, with a focus on digital design, art direction, and fresh digital media projects.
Demonstrated typography skills
Experience leading multi-channel work from ideation through execution.
Experience managing a team and creating independently
Action oriented with ability to prioritize and drive results.
Can manage multiple, concurrent and complex projects
