As a Shipping Tour Supervisor you will provide leadership and guidance to the hourly shipping employees to improve safety, quality, production, inventory accuracy, on time delivery, order accuracy and cost of the various operations in the shipping department.
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT WESTROCK:
Coordinate and direct a team of hourly employees.
Partner with management in the development and training of shipping department personnel.
Interface with Opti Vision production management system for order management to facilitate dock set up and operation of the shipping department.
Utilize various inventory tracking tools in SAP for inventory accuracy and order tracking
Actively promote safety and environmental compliance
Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 plus years of related experience.
Demonstrated experience managing union employee relationships and labor relations.
Possess exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment.
Proficient computer skills, to include MS Office
Physical ability to operate in a paper mill environment, including light to moderate lifting, walking, and climbing, correctable vision and ability to work in a hot, humid and dusty environment.
