Job Description

Defining the scope and objective for the ROW group, managing group performance, and improving processes and procedures.
Managing employees’ performance and development by conducting performance planning and reviews, establishing goals, mentoring, and coaching employees, and carrying out disciplinary action when necessary.
Coordinating and managing costs to meet the ROW O&M budget.
Performing daily approvals of subordinates’ timekeeping and expense records.
Managing the assigned source contractors for road grading and ensure that Purchase Orders, Field Change Orders, and invoice payments meet audit requirements.
Utilize effective resource and project planning skills, team building, and stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
Ensuring that the ROW work being done is environmentally compliant with all agencies’ requirements (internal/external).  
Interfaces and partners with various internal groups.

Qualifications

The essentials

Four or more years of combined experience supervising or performing the work as a leader of a group.
Five or more years of experience working in road grading and civil construction.
Experience working with contracts or purchase orders.
A valid Driver’s License.

The preferred

Bachelor’s Degree.
Strong interpersonal skills collaborating with management, clients, peers, service providers, and manufacturers.
Five or more years of supervising Contractors on road grading projects.
Experience leading multiple project activities, including planning and coordinating assignments, crafting and editing reports, and providing updates.
Experience with SAP and GIS applications or software.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of company safety policies.

Position will require up to 50% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.  
This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation.  Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
