Here’s What You’ll Need:
BA/BS degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, or civil engineering
Mid to senior level experience with project management and electric transmission permitting in the Midwest or Mid-Atlantic geographies
Positive relationships with permitting leads in utility client organizations
Superior knowledge of state, federal, and local environmental regulations for linear infrastructure development in Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan. Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina experience also considered.
Experience authoring wetland delineation reports, federal/state permitting and regulatory applications, FERC resource reports, or NEPA analyses
Knowledge of at least one (or more) of the following: Ohio Power & Siting Board, North Carolina Public Utilities Commission, or Virginia State Corporation Commission Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) application processes for electric transmission lines
Wetland delineation, stream assessment, mitigation, monitoring, and habitat assessment experience
Experience interacting with agencies on Section 7 of the Threatened and Endangered Species Act
Experience performing and managing staff or subcontractors for species-specific surveys and environmental construction monitoring
Ideally, you’ll also have:
