Purpose of Position:
Our diverse Global Customer Experience Team at Kimberly-Clark Professional is comprised of passionate designers, storytellers, developers and creative thinkers. We are looking for a Senior UX Designer to join us and lead our global UX strategy & design for the digital experiences. As the Global UX Design Lead, you will work closely with a wide range of teams and drive for the right results within our delivery teams.
Responsibilities:
60% Strategy & Planning:
Lead & manage the UX work pipeline.
Work closely with UX researchers on managing our UX benchmarking programs, UX priorities & the research backlog.
Partner with product leaders to solve complex problems with design.
Continuously build a deep knowledge of users’ goals and problems through analytics & user research.
Elicit ideas and assist team members with gaining shared understanding, and align the product team and stakeholders.
Present design concepts, user needs, and design rationale to multidisciplinary teams, as well as to key stakeholders and business partners.
Provide direction & guidance to other UX designers on priorities, assets, & resources.
30% Delivery & Execution:
Prototype user interface to support assigned digital projects.
Keep all UX design iterations & decisions documented.
Maintain, optimize, and expand an existing Design System.
Work with engineering to ensure that all requirements and standards are met.
Provide well-annotated prototypes and web-optimized assets.
10% Team Building:
Be an UX evangelist: Ensure teams follow UX best practices; Build & implement UX processes & roadmaps; Coach and mentor team members & key stakeholders on UX strategy & design efforts.
Cross- Functional Coordination: Build strong relationships across the CX organization, the Engineering divisions, and the Product teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Interactive Media, or other related design field.
5+ years of experience in interaction & visual design for digital UI and/or product design (web, mobile, software, gaming)
1+ year of experience leading and delivering quality design work in dynamic, diverse, fast paced environment across multiple projects on schedule.
Proficiency in rapid prototyping and visualization
Proficiency in facilitating design workshops
Proficiency in analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data and presenting findings and recommendations
Proficiency in leveraging research and usability strategy deliverables such as discovery findings, mental models, scenarios, user journey maps, personas, debrief documentation, screeners, testing plans, task lists, low and high-fidelity prototypes, annotated wireframes, and/or clickable prototypes
Proficiency in visual software tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe illustrator, and Photoshop
Proficiency in using, and experience in generating style guides, iconography, and/or typography
Proficiency in working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional, modern design and development team
Experience guiding more junior team members through User Experience fundamentals in a professional setting
(Bonus) UX Certification with NN/g
(Bonus) Experience using remote user testing softwares such as UserZoom and Usertesting.
(Bonus) Master’s Degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Interactive Media, or other related design field.
