This group will be a part of the Lyve Cloud Operations team, that will support 24 x 7 cloud operations involving multiple data centers across the world and support the object storage needs of customers. The overall storage footprint to be supported in these data centers eventually will be in the magnitude of exabytes. The Network Operations Group will ensure round-the-clock availability of network infrastructure of Lyve Cloud for its customers.
About the role - you will:
Based out of the US, manage a set of highly skilled and experienced network engineers based in the US, Singapore and India.
Work collaboratively with Systems (Server and Storage) Operations focused management and individual contributor colleagues based in the US, Singapore, and India.
Provide hands-on technical leadership to your team.
Overall responsible for (1) Network Monitoring, Logging and Alerting (2) Network Change and Incidence Management (3) Network Configuration Management (4) Firewall and Load balancer support (5) Out-of-Band Network Management Support (6) Continuous Network Optimization (7) Implementation of Network Security protocols.
Develop staffing and skills matrix to ensure depth and breadth of coverage for all team members.
Manage vendors and third-party contractors supporting the network operations.
Maintain constant vigilance and situational awareness of all incidents, escalations and events related to maintaining network service uptime.
Be responsible for updated Network Architecture diagrams and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support Lyve Cloud Operations.

Your experience includes:
Experience in Data Center Network Infrastructure support, with in a managerial role.
Experience in working closely with Systems (Servers and storage) Operations team and Network Engineering team.
Knowledge of network monitoring tools, automation, packet-level analysis of network and application protocols.
Must be able to troubleshoot all aspects of a distributed system which would include multiple local/remote locations (Subnets, VLANS) connected via Ethernet/MetroE/Fiber/Wireless, DSL/Cable, VPN, etc.
Strong understanding network protocols (e.g., HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, UDP) and network security implementation processes.
Familiarity with Hardware load balancers, firewalls and proxies.
Support cloud native applications and systems in on-prem/private cloud/public cloud environment.
Worked with complex data center network topologies and 100 Gbps networks.
Used ITIL based ITSM tool, created network SOPs, and participated in problem triage.
