Job Description

CDM Smith is seeking an IT Project Manager to join our IT Project Management Office (PMO). This individual oversees and manages various system projects of a moderate to highly complex nature. Ensures that projects are staffed appropriately. Manages the project team to deliver projects on time and within budget. Works with general supervision.

• Completes and oversees project(s) of moderate to high complexity scope, schedule and deliverables agreed to by the project stakeholders and leadership.
• Lead projects from inception through completion with responsibility for productivity through all phases of the project.
• Ensures that projects are staffed with the appropriate Information Technology (IT) staff, stakeholders and vendor resources. Provides feedback to project team resource managers on individual project team member’s performance during the project.
• Create Project Charter with input from stake holders, business analysts, etc. to clearly define the objectives, scope, budget, risks, deliverable and RACI Matrix
• Prepare and maintain detailed project plans, monitor progress against the plan and act as liaison between IT and user departments
• Prepare Status Reports and other presentations as needed for project team and management
• Proactively identify and plan for potential risk, build contingency plans, and take action to mitigate risks
• Promote and support PMO policies and processes; work with Infosec, development and infrastructure teams to utilize established system standards, procedures and quality objectives.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.
3 years of related experience.

Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrates solid knowledge of IT Project Management Best Practices and applies principles as appropriate.
• Ability to create project schedules and scope budget of IT projects of a complex nature.
• Possesses strong knowledge of all Microsoft office applications.
• Demonstrates solid knowledge of PMI (Project Management Institute) standards and practices.
• Possesses skills in ITIL, Agile/Scrum, etc.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency to manage moderate size IT projects or moderate to high complexity and guide project resources.
