Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking motivated and talented Mid-Level Software Engineers to support the Network Intrusion and Cyber Security Manager to provide products and engineering services to support many of our nations critical defense and deterrence systems directed by the Missile Defense Agency. Position is in Huntsville, Alabama. There are multiple (LEVEL 3) positions available
Position Overview:The Missiles and Weapons Systems (MWS) organization is dynamic and growing with a leadership team focused on attracting and developing top talent in support of critical missions for National Defense and Strategic Deterrence. Connected to our customers missions, we deliver unique capability through our exceptional talent.Engineer to support the Network Intrusion and Cyber Security Manager to provide products and engineering services to support many of our nations critical defense and deterrence systems directed by the Missile Defense Agency.

Position Responsibilities

* Perform security analysis of operational and development environments, threats, vulnerabilities and internal interfaces to define and assess compliance with accepted industry and government standards.
* Implement the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes under the Risk Managed Framework (RMF) for new and existing products.
* Conduct periodic hardware/software inventory assessments.
* Manage assigned team to facilitate effective execution of Risk Management Framework (RMF).
* Identify root causes, prioritize threats and recommend and/or implement corrective action for cyber security related issuesWork Authorization:This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
* 5 or more years of experience withSoftware development
* 5 or more years of Proficient experience in C/C software languages and scripting
* 5 or more years of experience with Agile Software development lifecycle
* 5 or more years of experience of software requirements, software design, software integration and testing (experience in at least one software development domain)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
* Test driven development is a plus
* Experience with Windows and Linux Operating Systems is a plus
* Experience with development and configuration of virtual machines and containers is a plus
* Experience with Cyber Products analysis & mitigation tools (e.g., Splunk, HIDS, NIDS) is a plus
* Experience with cyber security policies and industry best practices is a plus
* Networks & Communications Design Engineering is a plus

Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master3 years related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
