Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate, Test & Evaluation Flight Simulation Lab Technician to join the Flight Simulation Labs located in Berkeley, MO.This position is part of the Flight Simulation Labs Operations team. The applicant will be working in a fast pace environment supporting Flight Simulation hardware requiring technical skills in both electronic hardware development and trouble shooting.
Primary Responsibilities
* Responsible for coordinating test laboratory activities such as security, property management, safety focal , equipment calibration management, material management, shipping /receiving of test articles, maintenance and repairs.
* Install and maintain Flight Simulation equipment consisting of computers, monitors, audio systems, visual systems, crew stations and rack equipment.
* Troubleshoot and resolve electronic hardware issues with minimum down time.
* Participate in test design and performs routine procurement, fabrication and assembly of components, test fixtures and test systems.
* Facilitate systems integration, fabrication and modification supports system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post test tear-down
* Troubleshoot basic laboratory and test-related problems. Work under supervision.This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)
* 1 year experience with fabrication and/or assembly of mechanical or electrical systems utilizing production industry standards
* 1 year working in Engineering Lab Environment or comparable Military experience.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience)
* 2 year experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and schematics
* 2 year experience working with Avionic equipment
* 2 year experience maintaining computer hardware
Typical Education & Experience
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years related work experience, etc.).
