Find your future with us.The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a System Test Engineer (Level 2) to join the F-15 Mission Systems Team located in Saint Louis, MO. As a System Test Engineer on the F-15 Mission Systems team, your role is to test new capabilities on the F-15 platform. This includes new avionics systems such as weapons, sensors,navigation aids, etc. You will be hands-on with the hardware in a laboratory environment, performing system test verification activities. Job responsibilities include developing test plans, writing test procedures, executing test operations, documenting any newly discovered hardware or software anomalies, and reporting status to all stakeholders. The team supports multiple F-15 efforts for both USAF and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs. Since you will be working with a large set of multi-discipline engineers, strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must. The ability to coordinate activities amongst a large team is also required.
Position Responsibilities
* Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
* Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
* Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
* Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
* Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product life cycle.
* Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.Export Control
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience)
* Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
* Experience with design and analysis of basic Electronic/Electrical Systems
* Applicants must have good communication, analytical, and organizational skills and be able to work in a team environment - previous design team or special project team participation is desired
* Ability to conceive, develop, optimize, maintain and modify electronic/electrical system designs based on requirements is desired
* Ability to provide technical coordination with internal and external suppliers and customers is a plus
* Knowledge of data system design, and architectures is desired
Typical Education/Experience
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
