We are looking for an experienced and motivated Competitive & Product Intelligence Analyst to support the development of compelling product and service offerings. In this role you will define BrightDrop’s intelligence gathering approaches, gather corporate and product intelligence with consideration for traditional and emerging players, develop a perspective on relevant industry trends and document and communicate your findings in an informative and compelling manner. The research will directly inform BrightDrop’s business strategy and product offerings.
Responsibilities include the following:
Analyze syndicated intelligence and collect custom intelligence
Prepare and maintain actionable intelligence assessments
Identify and monitor competitors and issue timely intelligence communications to key stakeholders
Support complex investigations and research upon request
Work collaboratively with BrightDrop Strategic, Product Management and Engineering teams to construct and prioritize intelligence gathering plan
Support and participate in strategic planning, product road mapping workshops and design reviews
Conduct in-depth, tailored research and analysis of companies, industries, technologies, markets and competitors to uncover key actionable information
Keep abreast of news and events related to clients/industries/verticals/competitors; proactively distribute topical reports and developments when appropriate
Prepare presentation materials and make effective presentations when required
Participate in in-field research, special projects and customer empathy events as needed
Travel as required in support of the above
Additional Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years’ experience in competitive and product intelligence. Experience in small company or startup environments preferred. Experience in B2B offerings, industrial products, software services or telematics preferred
Highest level of integrity and professionalism
Highly effective communication skills, both oral and written
Demonstrated ability to execute analytics projects with business teams in a collaborative, inclusive manner
Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners at all levels
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, business, or relevant field
