Position Summary
The Senior Analyst Strategic Sourcing, Technical Operations reports to and supports the Manager Strategic Sourcing, Technical Operations in the preparation and execution of strategic projects and commercial transactions involving airframe & component maintenance as well as In-Flight Entertainment & Connectivity agreements. The Senior Analyst leverages spend analytics and market intelligence to lead comprehensive RFPs and develop commercial strategy recommendations and Business Partner selections for the Technical Operations & Product departments. The role involves working closely with stakeholders in JetBlue’s Technical Operations and Product Teams, as well as JetBlue’s Legal, Corporate Finance, Accounting, and Treasury teams, among other groups.
Essential Responsibilities
Independently lead major RFPs and coordinate between internal JetBlue stakeholders as well as external Business Partners to execute key milestones and deadlines
Prepare and lead drafting and negotiations for maintenance agreements
Present work and recommendations directly to JetBlue Executives and Technical Operations Leadership
Develop and maintain reporting and contracting templates to regularly update Management & Senior Leadership
Assist in the development of a long term integrative sourcing strategy, working alongside JetBlue’s Structural Programs, Technical Operations and other Strategic Sourcing teams
Conduct analysis for commercial recommendations on current and future maintenance platforms, including the facilitation, preparation and conduct of negotiations on technical maintenance agreements
Partner with members from Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, Legal, Finance and Accounting teams
Maintain relationships with key existing and potential future Business Partners
Assists in developing policies, procedures, and practices relating to sourcing and contract administration

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply chain, Aviation, Finance or Engineering
Three (3) years of finance, strategic sourcing, aviation specific Engineering or Supply Chain experience or equivalent experience
Experience in Sourcing, negotiation, or implementation (i.e. implementing & managing to the terms of an Executed contract) in one or more of the following categories: 1. Aviation parts maintenance 2. Aviation parts procurement 3. In-Flight Entertainment or Connectivity systems
Expert with Microsoft Office suite
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Strong financial, quantitative and data analysis skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and project communications and stakeholder expectations
Available for occasional overnight travel
Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Experience with e-procurement platforms & tools, in particular Ariba & Scout
Experience in TRAX or similar parts management databases
Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet modeling and database administration, including applications beyond Microsoft Office suite
Demonstrated experience presenting to an organization’s Executive Leadership levels

When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
