Job Overview:
Macy’s Transformation Strategy team operates like an internal consulting group, with assignments and projects flexing to address the highest priority initiatives for the organization. The role of the Senior Analyst, Transformation Measurement is to support the Transformation team and organization’s decision making through extensive data extraction and manipulation across big data sets and multiple systems. Using this data, the Senior Analyst will support robust, thoughtful analysis, providing assistance to the Transformation office and other stakeholders. This position will support the evolution and growth of the company’s most strategic and highest impact initiatives through development of internal data capabilities including dashboards, analytical tools, and predictive models. The role requires proficiency in both analytical methods and the retail business, and ability to synthesize vast data into concise, compelling visualizations and stories. Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
Build and maintain data sources to quickly navigate business questions; develop tools to measure and evaluate specific business initiatives.
Processing, cleansing and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
Transform data into formats appropriate for analyses; Communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way.
Utilize vast data sources to aggregate information, build a story, and influence stakeholders.
Independently manage the design, execution and analysis of single and multi-variant testing programs to support short-term and long-term business ideas and growth strategies; serve as subject matter expert and sounding board for test design and measurement methodology across the organization.
Navigate the organization (both people and politics) to acquire the necessary data and business context for thoughtful, comprehensive analysis and recommendations.
Be well versed in all facets of the organization, obtaining vast knowledge of subject areas such as Marketing, Merchandising, Store Operations, Digital, and Finance.
Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university
Master's Degree in related field preferred
1-2 years direct experience
Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner.
Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels.
Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.
Knowledge of MS Office computer programs are required
