DESCRIPTION
The Refinery Technical Services (RTS) Designer - Ponca City Refinery is accountable for design activities including FEED, detailed design and construction support for the Ponca City Refinery Technical Services. The Designer must be capable of overseeing mechanical design on multiple projects in a safe and efficient manner and for providing technical support to the different Business Unit functions.
Responsibilities May Include
Providing single point of accountability for RTS mechanical design.
Managing designer costs, schedule, and resources.
Interacting with project engineers to coordinate design activities and coordination of assigned resources for completion of projects to meet project timeframes.
Acting as a technical resource for other business unit functions.
Participating in and supporting the use of the Front-End Loading, Detail Design, and other demonstrated best practices in the execution of projects.
Participating in training opportunities.
Networking with peers internally and externally to share best practice information.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Basic/Required:
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
5 or more years of refining capital project experience
Working knowledge of MicroStation
Current valid driver's license

Preferred:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications
Strong oral/written communication skills and the ability to interact and work in a team environment
Understanding of the Front-End loading (FEL 1-3) requirements
Strong scheduling and organization skills, understanding basic strategies for managing successful projects
