Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager

Job Description

We want someone to be responsible for strategic sourcing of products coming from our Contract Manufacturers and/or Electronic Manufacturing Services providers. Design a detailed sourcing footprint for the commodity / sub commodities, define the roadmaps and make it happen.

How you will do it

Develop category strategies for key global commodities
Act as global lead for PCBA and Build Box products (CMs & EMS). Ensure alignment of commodity strategies to business requirements and objectives
Drive cost savings through low cost country sourcing, supplier rationalization, value engineering, etc through Supplier contract pricing and Trade Working Capital improvements.
Act as a center of excellence for the respective categories through complete understanding of industry, competition, key players, future technologies and innovations, etc. Support Knowledge Based Sourcing (KBS) initiatives for the respective categories
Actively support and participate in resolving supplier delivery, quality or commercial issues which have been called out to the category team. Coordination of purchasing strategies across all plants that consume the respective categories
Control and improve purchasing controlling and cost analysis in order to achieve savings and cost tracking. We will work to maximize purchases across all business units and regions globally.
Own and drive towards effective make/buy decisions and analysis. Lead supply base and supplier development activities
Meet or exceed profit plan goals related to categories: cost savings, economics, quality, supplier rationalization, LCC% content and other agreed business objectives.

What you will need

 Required skills/experience

 Experience within Large Mfg or Multi-industry global organization

 Min. 8-10 years of progressive procurement experience

 Extensive global sourcing experience

 Capability to collaborate with senior leadership across regions both internally and externally

 In depth understanding of purchasing tools and practices

 Strong MS Office skills

 Strong costing and analytical skills

 Solid understanding of SAP or other equivalent ERP systems

 Preferred Skills / Experience

 HVAC, Engineering, Fire Safety, Security or related industry experience.

 Experience handling Contract Manufacturers and/or Electronic Manufacturing Services providers.
