Under the direction of the Director of oncology, this positionis responsible for the overall, day to day clinical operations of the Optum USMD Oncology & Infusion Center, and is responsible to ensure that the services provided by the agency are consistent with the organizations strategic goals, philosophy of care and the best practice standards of Oncology.
Primary Responsibilities
* Responsible for overall day-to-day operations of the Oncology & Infusion Center, by handling issues within the site with the appropriate leadership, while fostering an environment of continuous improvement and maintaining high standards for service that supports the Optum/USMD commitment to patients, providers and others.
* Overall operational responsibility for the routine business and clinical functions including review and development of corrective action plans. Ensure appropriate supplies, equipment, signage, cleanliness of site, and safety of the facility.
* In collaboration with the Leadership, assesses clinic census, staffing and operational requirements on an ongoing basis provide input and recommendations as to the number and types of staff and other resources required to meet the oncology programs goals.
* Ensure compliance to established policies, procedures, quality assurance programs, safety and infection control policies and procedures including required compliance assessment completion. Acquire and maintain site accreditations as required.
* Review monthly patient and insurance AR in order to identify trends and recommend appropriate actions
* Assist with the development, maintain and report key metrics that identify drivers of business performance of the site and point to areas of action if there are discrepancies. Assist in the development of creative solutions to resolve discrepancies.
* Establish effective mechanisms of communication with staff, providers and patients to foster an environment of openness, trust, team work and staff development.

Required Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing or related field or an Associates Degree plus 1 year of experience or 2 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelors degree
* Three yearsexperience in medical office management including staff supervision.
* One year experience in a management or supervisory positionin an Oncology setting.
* Strong understanding of Oncology office and infusion billing methodology
* Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment and problem-solving techniques
* Access to reliable transportation that will enable you to travel to client and/or patient sites within a designated area
* Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained
* This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctors diagnosis of disease.
Preferred Qualifications
* Five experience in medical office management including staff supervision.
* Three years of current experience in a management or supervisory positionin an Oncology setting.
* Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
* Ability to use various computer/EMR systems and application
* Ability to understand financial reports, identify trends and recommend action.
* Experience in Management of multisite operations
