HP Labs is an international research organization headquartered in Palo Alto, CA. HP Labs' purpose is to deliver breakthrough technologies and technology advances that provide a competitive advantage by investing in fundamental science and technology in areas of interest to HP.

The Omnicept AI (http://hp.com/omnicept) team within HP Labs is spearheading the application of artificial intelligence to sensor data from VR headsets to make inferences about the human condition.  This internship will be focused on creating digital twins of humans in support of social VR applications.

Particularly we are looking for skills around the following areas:

Realistic avatar creation Texture/UV mapping 3D Modeling Unity 3D Blender Concept Sketching

Responsibilities:

Create realistic avatars for VR environments.  Create concept sketches that help visualize the experiences that we are targeting.  Generate 3D assets for use in social VR demonstrators.

Education and Experience Required:

Working towards completion of a degree in digital art, especially 3D Graphics & Animation

The estimated hourly range of compensation for this job at the time of this posting is $20-24/h
