Overview
This position collaborates with wealth management teams and insurance partners to provide comprehensive insurance planning services and sales for clients. Cultivates new business referrals with both internal and external sources. Determines the best insurance product solution to address client financial goals, objectives, and potential insurance risks. Makes expert recommendations on the appropriate product and guides individual client strategy. Facilitates high client service standards through regular review and communication of insurance strategy, revising as necessary to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
Responsibilities
Sales - Sells insurance products through a variety of techniques including sales presentations. Engages with Wealth Management clients and prospects to conduct insurance planning analysis. Provides a solution from the offered products, or refers them to insurance sources or banking partners as appropriate. Maintains knowledge of personal, estate, and business insurance products and solutions.
Client Service - Facilitates the application process by sourcing information and communicating with insurance carriers on underwriting situations. Liaises between the client and the carrier in resolving outstanding items. Answers inquiries, makes recommendations, and manages the relationship through the referral process if necessary. Reviews insurance strategy with clients on a periodic basis to revise strategy as suitable.
Partnership- Provides ongoing education on insurance products with wealth partners to generate referrals and promote insurance sales. Provides sales process reporting to wealth partners and management.
Relationship Development - Establishes a rapport with clients to identify insurance needs and leverage sales opportunities. Builds and maintains a strong network with referral partners and insurance carriers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience
Expertise in Long-term Care Insurance and Disability Income Insurance
Chartered Life Underwriter or Chartered Life Consultant Preferred
