About the role:
We are looking for a talented and driven leader to lead the strategy and executive engagement with our largest transportation partner/s. You will be responsible for leading a broad range of high customer impact operational improvement initiatives as well as long range strategic planning and vision setting within the strategic partnership. In this role, you will work closely with internal cross-functional partners across transportation operations, supply chain technology, and supplier operations as well as the executive leadership team to define, prioritize, and develop strategic roadmaps with our transportation partners. You blend strategic partner management principles with a deep knowledge of supply chain principles to build innovative solutions which directly impact our ability to execute a fast and reliable delivery experience to our customers in the US and Canada.
What You'll Do
Take ownership for leading the overall relationship, strategy and management for our largest transportation partner/s by defining, prioritizing, and setting of long-range strategic vision that will drive material improvement in our ability to deliver exceptional customer experience
Partner with key cross-functional senior leaders across supply chain technology, supplier operations, fulfillment operations, network management to create alignment in strategic approach and successfully realize your vision
Own and drive initiative roadmaps with both internal teams and external strategic partner/s
Apply core supply chain and operating principles to drive continuous improvement through effective, data driven carrier management
Build and leverage strong relationships across the transportation ecosystem (operations, technology, analytics, finance) and engage directly with senior leadership across functions
Take a lead role in building out our team
Be a great leader and invest in the development of our team
What You'll Need
12+ years of experience or 5+ years post MBA experience preferred; experience in management consulting, supply chain operations, or transportation strategy a plus
Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross functional teams
Demonstrated experience managing large scale, external strategic partnerships
Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style based on the audience
Experience and passion for working across functions and with executive leaders, synthesizing multiple points of view and owning a coherent action plan
