About the Role:
This position will be responsible for conceptualizing, modeling, and implementing a virtual business model simulation platform of Harman Automotive based on intelligence about markets, customers, technologies, and competitors.
This includes identifying and evaluating industry trends to test the new business model hypotheses. The simulations should be based on corresponding business plans and supported by relevant data. The business model simulation platform should deliver the key metrics for future business opportunities to decision-makers across the division.
Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence, this role will support the divisional strategy with data-driven insights and reports for decision making.
What You Will Do:
Develop, implement and own a data-driven simulation model that maps Harman’s global Automotive business perspectives covering strategical, commercial, technological, financial, and regulatory constraints
Identify and integrate external and internal data sources and manage the flow of information by building a data warehouse structure and analytical platform with a high level of automation
Operate continuous and on-demand big data analytics and business model simulations using best practice methods and advanced analytical tools
Evaluate business impact, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement and continuously refine the business simulation model and analytical platform
Prepare standard templates and/or dashboard applications to streamline reporting processes
Collaborate with various stakeholders within Harman Automotive on a global level
Work with internal and external specialists for data management, analytics, software development, and business intelligence solutions to build and operate a virtual business model simulation platform
Support the team as an internal expert for business modeling and data analytics
Create and present actionable insights and reports for critical business decisions
What You Need:
Master’s degree in data science, economics, engineering, or business from a leading university
3 or more years of relevant professional experience, ideally in the automotive industry
Strong knowledge in developing and simulating existing and innovative business models
Experience in analysis, modeling and visualisation of big data using analytical tools
Sound command of data warehouse concepts and BI solutions (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
Experience in statistical programming languages (SQL, R, Python, etc.)
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience in leading complex, international projects with interdisciplinary teams and in communication with senior management
Experience in design thinking and moderating workshops
Enthusiastic, curious, and quickly understand trends and new technologies
Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial drive
Experience creating detailed management reports and giving presentations
Strong communication skills and team player
