We seek a Sr. Production Test Engineer to lead the development of manufacturing hardware test and programming. This individual will lead the activity for test strategy design and build for production equipment used in the manufacture of complex, safety-critical electronic modules. In this role, you will be engaged in:
Creating production tools for use in the manufacturing facility
Developing the strategy and implementation for functional test and programming stations
Defining the test strategy and test concept for the product
Managing the development and procurement of the test and programming system
Conducting test coverage analysis
Interfacing with projects, software, and electronic hardware development teams, as well as manufacturing to obtain requirements, write specifications, define test concept, and manage the development and roll out of the production test equipment
Take electronics from DV signoff through PV, PPAP, and to production launch
Participate in capturing new product design verification and production process validation requirements
Leverage DV/PV functional test, parametric test, and vehicle load simulation to launch production test and fixturing
Test results data base, review, and manage SPC analysis
The skills, knowledge, and abilities we seek for this role include:
Bachelor’s degree in a suitable engineering field
Minimum 5 years of electrical/electronic engineering and/or production test engineering experience
Strong knowledge of electronic circuits in embedded applications
Very good knowledge of electrical test bench equipment, oscilloscope, DMM, power analyzer, frequency counter
Good understanding of C, Microsoft Office tools, and NI toolchain (TestStand, LabVIEW, etc.)
Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, PLC, CCP, OBD)
Familiarity with calibration tools (Vector CANape, CANalyzer, ETAS INCA, ATI Vision)
Familiarity with manufacturing test equipment (AOI, Functional Test equipment, End of Line Programming, ICT etc.)
Strong problem-solving ability
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
