Job Description
SUMMARY:
Overall responsibility for the daily maintenance activities of a work shift. The primary responsibilities are to ensure mechanics have the right technical skill and comply to set shop procedures and provide direction and feedback.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Deliver key factors
Mechanic selection
Daily maintenance performance
Work assignment
Technical support for mechanics
Customer support for drivers
Participate in mechanic performance feedback and pay reviews
Quality of work, ensure maintenance procedures are being followed
Shop safety & cleanliness
Paid time off tracking
Identify trends
Lead process improvement teams
Daily and hourly information sharing
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
5 years experience in Class 8 vehicles preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required
