The Senior Business Developer will be responsible for leading the development of strategic growth initiatives across North America related to Distribution market. The responsibility includes promoting and positioning GE Grid Automations portfolio and solutions in applications related to utility distribution applications both inside and outside the fence of the substation.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, the individual will leverage expertise and domain knowledge around Protection, Control, Automation, Asset Management, and communications and work with end users, OEMs and consultants in the Distribution market (Substations, Lines, Pad Mount, DER Integration, Asset Management, Switchgear applications).
* Develop and deliver Solutions based on GEs technology products and services suitable for the Distribution market
* Drive the development of new leads and market opportunities within North Americas Distribution space projects and developments
* Develop sales strategies to deliver orders and sales growth Influence specifications and assist the NA sales team to close key deals
* Be accountable for meeting or exceeding the orders, sales, and CM plan
* Develop and provide technical presentations and product training to customers
* Provide technical expertise during customer presentations, demonstrations, evaluations and testing
* Support Commercial Segment Leaders and Product Line Leaders with definition and execution of the Product Line strategy, with emphasis on Product enhancement, New Product Introductions and value proposition
* Provide an essential link from the customer to marketing, engineering and product development teams
* Develop and cultivate long-term relationships at all levels of customer organizations, and within GE Renewable units
* Partner with peers and leadership to enhance selling techniques and approaches in line with both the regions growth objectives and initiatives
* Provide market dynamics input, such as competitive intelligence and industry trends to the Marketing and Business teams
* Participate and contribute to industry guides, standards and circles such IEEE, Cigre, and others
* Prepare and present technical presentations, white papers, and case studies at industry conferences
Required Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
* Minimum of 10 years of sales, technical and business development experience
