Job Description Summary

You will be responsible for leading up feature development and enhance automation pipelines used to deliver our products and services. You will be expected to work independently and contribute to the immediate team and other teams across the organization, with a strong focus on architecting new solutions and process automation. You will also contribute to design, security, and architecture discussions.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Be responsible for providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving software, systems, automatization, and architecture in a fast-paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure practices
* Provide technical leadership to an agile team of 10 or more
* Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) and Technical Product managers (TPMs) to understand product requirements & vision
* Translate requirements/vision into a prioritized list of Themes, Initiatives, Features, User Stories & Tasks and deliver to required timelines and quality standards
* Implement process automation to deliver our products and services within the requirements
* Work with architects across teams to develop multi-generation technology plans and architectures
* Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse
* Support process improvements that guide the development, sustaining & support activities
* Coach, mentor, and lead the team efforts
* Work cross-functionally with other parts of the organization to align activities and deliverables
* Drive world-class quality in the development, automation, and support of products
* Communicate effectively both within immediate team and also across product line leadership teams
* Ensure team receives consistent messages and has a clear understanding of business direction, strategy, and results
* Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge
* Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Agile, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, Refactoring, Testing Techniques, Process Automation, and Solution Architecture & Security
* Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
* Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosen
* Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness
* Keep abreast with industry changes related to Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, Cloud capabilities, and related subject areas
* Push peers to implement security as an architecture
* Design frameworks for cloud environments to handle identity, serverless code/function, and proactive/reactive services
* Build systems, frameworks, infrastructure, and functions that are designed to recover from failure

Qualifications/Requirements

* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or in \STEM\ Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
* A minimum of 6 years of professional experience
* A minimum of 4 years of experience scripting (Ruby, Bash, Python, Go, Node.js, Rust, etc.) or developing software or cloud native services/applications
* A minimum of 2 years of experience with using an automated configuration management or infrastructure as code system (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, Cloudformation, etc.)
* A minimum of 2 years of experience with cloud environmentsEligibility Requirements

* Must be willing to work out of an office located in Atlanta, GA Or Cincinnati, OH

Desired Characteristics

Technical Expertise:

* Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or other Public Cloud DevOps and/or Solution Architecture Certification
* Hands on experience designing and implementing solutions leveraging multiple services within public cloud providers
* Experience with Windows and Unix / Linux based programming
* Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, and inter-networking technologies (routing/switching, proxy, firewall, load balancing etc.)
* RESTful API Development/Usage
* Understanding of Document Databases
* Experience in network security and related infrastructure technologies, cloud-based infrastructure, software defined networks and hybrid connectivity architecturesBusiness Acumen:

* Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
* Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
