Job Description Summary

This role covers areas that support the identification and development of the product offerings for the GE Digital and specifically for a cloud hosted MES, also known as Plant Applications as a Service. This role impacts approaches, ways of working, projects and programs in the MES space inside the GE Digital Manufacturing business. The proper candidate will drive quality, efficiency and effectiveness of their own team. Guided by commercial practices and policies that may be shaped by the role. This position has significant control/influence over commercial priorities as related to Plant Applications as a Service including developing pricing, sales enablement and driving the marketing organization. There is moderate autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial arrangements. High levels of Commercial judgement are required to achieve the most positive outcomes.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

* In relation to a cloud hosted MES (Manufacturing Execution System) offering:Accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, be involved in long-term planning, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
* Developing specialized knowledge of latest commercial developments in own area and communication skills to influence others. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
* Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others across the Proficy portfolio; has working knowledge of competition in the MES space including cloud and on-premise offerings including the factors that differentiate them in the market
* Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
* Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.

Required Qualifications

* For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Product Management & Digital Product Manager. Knowledge level is comparable to a Masters degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
* For roles in USA - Masters degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

* Experience in manufacturing and Manufacturing Execution Systems
