Job Description Summary
The Senior Manager, Product Communications is responsible for effectively executing global PR and internal culture communications programs to drive the business strategic vision, organizational culture, product amplification, thought leadership, and issue management. The Product Communications Manager reports directly to the global Head of Product Communications.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
* Develop & execute strategic communications plans for the organization, managing the overall communication process.
* Act as communications counsel for Product/P&L CEO(s); Work closely with business staff to support external PR campaigns, internal employee activities, digital/social initiatives, product initiatives and other related opportunities.
* Partner with marketing, culture communications, external affairs and global colleagues in the development and dissemination of main messages to appropriate audiences based on business objectives, including appropriate media messages and pitches to outlets via press releases, bylines and various communication mediums/channels including social media; consistent earned media placement.
* Support, collaborate and contribute to cross-business initiatives and global campaigns.
* Plan, draft and execute crisis communication plans as needed, and support change management plans.
* Propose and implement strategic communications initiatives to elevate organization morale and boost understanding of the organizations activities.
* Integrity:Adhering to high ethical and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others.
Requirements:
* Bachelors degree in communications, marketing, journalism, business, healthcare or related field.
* 5 to 7+ years experience working in PR, brand, Culture Communications and/or marketing ?3 either in a corporate or agency environment.
* Ability to understand GE Corporate and GE Healthcare goals and proactively identify opportunities to meet them.
* Clear thinking, creative communications and problem-solving skills with demonstrated project management skills, success at and willingness to lead multiple projects/initiatives within communications / PR function, and a passion for storytelling.
