Job Description
As a senior accounting financial reporting specialist within our Corporate Accounting group, you will execute highly complex Statutory financial reporting assignments, reviews, analysis and calculations. You'll be responsible for reviewing both quarterly and annual statement schedules as well as account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, state assessment correspondence, entries and monthly company flux analysis. In addition, you'll monitor changes, research and ensure compliance for accurate financial reporting, and update company accounting and reporting policies and procedures.
Must-have qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or related field of study (e.g. Finance)
Minimum of 4 years' related accounting experience, 2 years' of which must be in corporate or public accounting
Preferred skills
Strong technical accounting knowledge, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated timeliness, accuracy, attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to meet internal and/or external deadlines.
Ability to identify and communicate accounting and financial reporting issues to management.
Query language skills (SAS, MBI, People Soft general ledger queries) and working knowledge of IT systems used for accounting and financial reporting.
Ability to work in a team environment and assume a team leadership role if needed.
Compensation
$65,000 - $86,700/year
