The Challenge:

As a data scientist, you can turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. Across private and public sectors — from fraud detection, to cancer research, to national intelligence — you know the answers are in the data.
We have an opportunity for you to use your leadership and analytical skills to improve a DoD client. You’ll work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs, then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll mentor teammates, develop algorithms, write scripts to develop workflows, build predictive analytics, use automation, apply machine learning, and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn that set of disparate data points into objective answers to help senior leadership make informed decisions. You’ll provide your customer with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it. Join us as we use data science for good in national security.

You Have:
5+ years of experience with data modeling
Experience with Python programming language
Experience with R programming language
Knowledge of quantitative data modeling techniques and widely used modeling tools
Ability to integrate data from multiple sources and systems, organize data for ease of access, and communicate complex ideas and analysis to different audiences, including senior executives
Ability to work without considerable direction
TS/SCI clearance
BS degree in CS, Information Science, or Applied Mathematics
Nice If You Have:
Experience with briefing senior DoD or Joint Staff leadership
Experience or knowledge of joint force development, design, concept or capability development
MA or MS degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, or Mathematics
Data Science or Analytics Certification
