Job Description

SUMMARY

Coordinate shop floor scheduling activities including data review and collection, work order complete/close and scheduling activities as directed by supervisor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

•    Review and modify completed orders for boardlines and shutter lines,other DSI entries, weights, rates and backflush. Move to complete status by utilizing JDE. 
•    Print report of work orders extruded previous day and take out to lines to verify, modify corrections in Reports Now. 
•    Review rip saw, SurEdge and Cortuff reports of work order units completed using JDE. 
•    Utilize Excel report for work orders packed with variance. 
•    Review open order folders for update completion. 
•    Review serial numbers and track unaccounted stock and missing serial numbers
•    Print UPC labels for extrusion orders when needed
•    Notify supervisors of extrusion, issues or pack problems via email.
•    Responsible for correcting inventory labels made in error, wrong quantity or wrong items and coordinate with inventory control.
•    Run WIP journal entry proof status CHG 87-95’s notifies Finance when complete.
•    Work end of month to prepare WIP and make sure all completed orders have been processed.
•    Interact with Shipping on units not found and lots shipped daily.
•    Assist with updating schedule boxes with new orders and schedule changes daily.
•    Assist with receiving purchase orders in JDE – when needed.
•    Maintain accurate files – completed orders, forms, visitor logs and, misc.

•    High school graduate or general education degree (GED) or equivalent level of education and experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
•    Must possess excellent computer data entry skills
•    Proficient in Windows, JDE, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, E-Mail, and Access.
•    Proficient in use of office equipment such as scanner, fax, PC and copy machine.
•    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.  
•    Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.    
•    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  
•    Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must be computer literate.
•    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
