Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Salesforce Administrator.  This individual will carry out responsibilities under the supervision of the Marketing Automation Director. The Salesforce Administrator is tasked with helping our internal users by providing Salesforce expertise, resolving technical issues, providing timely reports, and training new users in addition to other responsibilities noted below.  Navient’s database of records is implemented on the Salesforce platform with usage spanning across our subsidiary businesses to track B2B clients/prospects, contracts/sales pipeline.  The Salesforce CRM database is integrated with a Marketing Automation instance of Marketo.  The synchronization between Salesforce and Marketo enables our lead generation activity.

Essential Job Functions:
1.  Administration
- Manage implementations and integrations for the Salesforce platform for all organization users.
- Provide timely support for end-users (local & remote) in a timely, courteous and professional manner.
- Regularly perform maintenance and cleanup as needed.
- Manage ongoing support requests and administrative needs of users.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity.
- Salesforce administration and operational support including, but not limited to; user/security management, account management, custom object support.
- Maintains, develops, and deploys ad hoc Salesforce reports and dashboards.
- Manages data for Marketo campaigns.
- Supports Marketing Automation through Marketo including campaign management, set-up and reporting.

2.  Training and Documentation
- Develop training plans, materials, and documentation for database users, keep materials up to date, coordinate new user and ongoing training sessions worldwide.
- Develop and communicate a schedule for future database releases/enhancements.
- Monitor user adoption rates and respond as needed (additional training sessions, communication, modifications, or other resources) to improve.
- Assist users with report design and management.
- Documentation of Salesforce specific processes and configurations.

3.  Planning
- Will work with colleagues in the other business groups to add real value to the application, will be responsible for the build out of Salesforce, be part of integration projects, and assist with process improvements.
- Supports development of technical specification to address emerging business requirements.
- Identifies and suggests new Salesforce features and in response to business needs.
- Ensures data accuracy for Marketo related activity.

4.  Process Management
- Work with various functions and end users to identify, document, and communicate standard business processes as they related to the database.
- Work with management to identify new and creative opportunities to leverage the database to support additional business processes or functions.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field.     
- 1 - 2 years’ experience with Salesforce platform.
- Familiarity with Marketing Automation platforms, preferably Marketo, and the functional relationship with the Salesforce platform.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Marketo.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- Handles ambiguity, works well with many styles, juggles responsibility well, flexible.
- Self-motivated, assertive and persistent with excellent follow-through skills. Perceptive, intuitive, logical, neutral, solution-oriented, strong attention to detail.
- Able to set priorities, plan and independently execute tasks in a structured manner.
- Comfortable working in a global cross-functional environment partnering with internal customers to help support and enhance practical solutions across disparate systems under multiple deadlines. Possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge.
- Committed to growing expertise in multiple subject areas within Salesforce and campaign management.
- Willingness to "roll up sleeves" and assist in areas outside of specialties and comfort zones to get the job done.
- Data manipulation and cleaning.
- Understanding integration scenarios and design.
- Strong documentation and training skills.
- Interface with staff developing strategy as technical advisor.
